Drawing our experience in a range of market sectors and due to our thrive to innovate and develop new business in challenging and profitable sectors, Epicurus is participating in the recently opened Energy Market in Mexico by constituting an arm that works as a Power Supply Company and by starting to build up the infrastructure, the team, the capital and to obtain the know-how of the Mexican energy market to establish a top of the edge Energy Trading Firm.
We plan to take advantage of our technological capabilities, the expertise from our personnel regarding financial and energy matters, the knowledge of the regulation and the applicable laws of the Mexican Energy Market, and great relationships with the predominant players of the energy sector, to be one of the first companies to be involved in the transformation of the energy market in Mexico acting as a supplier for the qualified users. Here, we will act as the middle man between the big electric generating companies and middle and small companies (qualified users).
By establishing a Power Supply Company first, Epicurus will start participating in the Mexican Energy Market and develop through their first year of liberalization. By linking up our understanding of the financial markets with the information and acquaintanceship obtained from successfully developing a Power Supply Company, Epicurus will start the operation of one of first Energy Trading Firms in Mexico. The planning and set-up of this Energy trading Firm has already begun.
